Microwave Chocolate Cake

Cakes, cakes everywhere.. I’m so much in love with cakes :) I love those delicious creamy chocolate cakes … emmm Yummy…. I decided to make all these on my own when I think of the calories they bring in along… Here i am the King or rather Queen I should say :) … and i can make the choice of the quantity of butter and sugar I can use.. in a way restrict it and just make enough that will quench our sweet cravings :)

Preparation:
  1. Mix the dry ingredients Self Raising Flour and Cocoa Powder well enough and keep aside
  2. In another bowl mix butter and sugar and the add the eggs and continue to beat it for 2-3  minutes. You could use an electric beater or use the pain old fork for beating it.
  3. Add vanilla Essence and milk to this mixture and mix it well.
  4. Slowly add the mixture of the dry ingredients and mix it well.
  5. Grease a microwave safe bowl with butter
  6. Pour the cake mixture into the bowl
  7. Microwave on High for 2 and half minutes
  8. Continue to microwave on Medium for 1 minute.
  9. Check if the cake is cooked by inserting a toothpick to the center of the cake and if it comes out clean without any lumps on it, the cake is cooked

Onion Uthappam

Breakfast the most important part of a day’s meal becomes quite a  challenge when you have fussy eaters… I was referring to kids…  Change is always needed… you need to make a different thing everyday… So one day we have plain dosa, the next day Onion Uthappam, the next day something  else…

Thats how I decided to make Onion Uthappam.. one of my personal favorites… I would always have an option of having these tasty Uthappams when we go to Saravana Bhavan or Udupi…

Preparation:
  1. Make the Dosa batter ready
  2. Garnish Mix : Mix the Onion, Tomato and Coriander Leaves.
  3. Pour 1/4 Cup of the batter on a hot tava as you make a dosa. Let it be thick compared to the other dosa.
  4. Immediately put the Garnishing evenly on the dosa.
  5. Once the side it cooked. Flip and cook the other side.
  6. Serve it hot with chutney or sambar!
